US President Donald Trump has called for Federal government agencies to take emergency action to reduce the cost of living. The action is aimed at lowering the cost of daily essentials and tackling inflation from the ground level. “All agencies will take emergency measures to reduce the cost of living,” read the report after Trump’s inauguration on Monday.

Inflation and reducing the cost of living were among Trump’s main talking points during the campaign trial. The President is looking to fulfill his promise and lower the prices of daily essentials for Americans. The price rise was among the major concerns of Americans during the Biden administration.

However, the document gave no other details on how Trump plans to make Federal agencies work on lowering the cost of living. Details about which agencies will be put to work to lower prices also remain a mystery.

The report indicates that Trump is concerned about the cost of living for Americans and aims to bring prices under control. The White House advisors pledged an “all-of-government approach to bringing down costs for American citizens.” An advisor said, “It’s a critical issue requiring decisive action as early as possible in the administration. And that’s exactly what the President is addressing with this memorandum.”

Another advisor said that Trump can fix the cost of living and make things more affordable to the American people. “We can fix this, but these policies have punished the American people over the past four years. Addressing this is essential for the nation’s prosperity.”

However, an AP-NORC poll conducted this month shows that only 21% of Americans believe Trump can reduce prices. Another 17% are moderately confident that he could lower prices during the tenure for the next four years. The others believe that he will be unable to tame inflation and control the rising costs.
